I look forward to collecting facts and anecdotes while drinking ales around England!Ian
ps A highlight of the Edinburgh Festival was a reading by Rich Hall. He talked about his love of language and... sniglets! A 'sniglet' is a word that should be in the dictionary, but isn't. For example 'Execuglide: The act of using your wheeled office chair to move from one place to another'. He was last seen walking down George Street with a copy of my book in his hand...
pps The big spring promotion (50 copies sent to movers and shakers) had a warmluke response. However, I am delighted to announce that I did receive one message of encouragement from BB. Yes, the one and only Bill Bryson. Hurrah for Bill!

Rhythm Festival Book Release
What a fantastic weekend at the Twinwood Arena near Bedford, particularly the 3 Daft Monkeys, Otway & The Levellers...
A decision was made to 'scatter' free books around the festival site. After an initial six copies were freely distributed, I released a further 15 copies on tables, benches, propped up against posts and laid on the grass.
It was interesting to observe the books being picked up, scrutinised and returned/taken. Let me know if you found a copy at the Rhythm Festival on Sunday.
I also gave copies to the legendary Ted Chippington and to a bemused Wild Willy Barrett.
Please contact me at macutio@zoom.co.uk if you would like more information.
'Half-empty' is now available for £5, including postage and packing. Wow!
